How to Protect Against Phishing:

What is phishing? Phishing is the illegal attempt to mislead individuals into providing personal or financial information, such as account numbers, passwords, and Social Security numbers, often through deceptive emails or fraudulent websites. Phishing attacks frequently take the form of emails that appear to originate from reputable financial institutions or companies. Most phishing attempts pressure you to update or verify your account information, usually by following a link in an email that leads to a fake website designed to look legitimate.

How to Identify a Phishing Attack:

Numerous phishing attacks are active on the internet, and recognizing them is crucial. Here are some common signs and tactics used by phishers:

- Urgent or Shocking Tone: Phishing emails often use urgent or shocking language to pressure individuals into immediate action regarding an account-related matter. Phishers rely on the fact that people may react quickly without thinking.

- Suspicious Attachments: Be cautious when receiving emails from unknown senders that contain attachments. Unsolicited email attachments frequently carry viruses or malware. Do not open them.

- Pop-Up Windows: Phishers sometimes create pop-up windows that falsely claim to be part of a legitimate company's website. These windows typically request personal information. Always verify the authenticity of such pop-ups.

How to Report a Phishing Attack:

If you suspect that you have received a fraudulent email from Profinity and its affiliates, please contact us at info@profinitygroup.com . If you believe that any communications with or from Profinity have resulted in identity theft, please call us immediately at 7985789789.

Personal Information & Image Policy:

We, at Profinity App, with the consent of our users, store images of the information uploaded by them. As in the sphere of financial services, we are compliant with the Know Your Customer (KYC) procedure at the time of user acquisition and onboarding.

To enable users to perform transactions and activate the in-app Profinity App cash wallet, it is mandatory to complete the “Sign up KYC” for identity verification. Moreover, Profinity App never obligates a user to complete his KYC if the user wishes to access financial services and activate the wallet and is comfortable with sharing their ID proofs by uploading images in the Sign-up KYC section under the Personal Information details of the users.

Profinity App has also guided the departments of KYC to follow the compliance of data privacy, and all the actions taken, performed or communicated to and by the employee have to fall under the guidelines respecting users right to privacy for their personal details and information.
